Dear …,

My name is Richard Clarkson and I am the Music Outreach Minister at All Saints Church in Wellington. I am writing to let you know about an event that we have coming up which I hope you’ll be able to support.

On December 5th we are holding a “Hallelujah Chorus from scratch” afternoon (2-4pm) to raise money for Children In Need. This is part of the BBC’s ‘Sing Hallelujah’ project (www.bbc.co.uk/sing/hallelujah). The aim is to fill the Church with as many people as possible, from experienced singers to complete beginners, and rehearse and perform the Hallelujah Chorus together. We will not be performing to an audience, just to each other – the aim of the event is to have fun singing and to raise some money for Children in Need.

We’d love for your choir members to come to this and I was wondering if you would be able to help us promote it to them and to any other followers of your choir. I will send you some flyers and posters in the next few weeks which I would be grateful if you could distribute. We are more than happy for you to bring along any information on joining your choir or forthcoming concerts that you would like to promote.

I would also like to let you know that we host concerts regularly at All Saints and if you would like to come and perform here we would love to have you. The Church is a beautiful building built in 1790 and can seat around 400 people. It has a large stage area and very nice acoustics which suit choral groups very well. If you would like more information please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Many thanks,

Richard Clarkson
